Laura Sanint Micolta (MBA’16)

Q. Since graduating, where are you now?

A. I began working at my father’s firm, Ascentis Real Estate Partners, as the senior associate investment manager. I first started working for the firm as a summer intern in 2007 while I was an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. After receiving my MBA from Georgetown McDonough, I was so excited to go back and contribute what I learned.

Q. What are you most excited about for your new job?

A. We are working on an initiative that creates a real estate fund to invest in multifamily properties in mostly Hispanic communities in the United States. It is an exciting prospect, as it combines the two fields we have a great deal of experience and expertise in — investment in multifamily properties and using an institutional investor base.

Q. How do you keep in touch with alumni?

A. I am an active member of the mentor-mentee program, and I also am active in the Georgetown University Real Estate Alliance ( The McDonough School of Business and the Steers Center for Global Real Estate often are hosting events that offer great opportunities to meet fellow Hoyas and network in the industry.
