Sumit Nihalani is a senior acquisitions professional at Vanbarton Group based in New York. Nihalani is responsible for sourcing and underwriting of east coast equity and structured debt investments. Prior to Vanbarton, Nihalani was an acquisitions associate at DWS Group/RREEF Management, based in New York, and focused on east coast acquisitions. Before working at RREEF, Nihalani was an associate at East End Capital where he was involved with both acquisitions and asset management of the firm’s New York and Miami assets. Nihalani began his real estate career as an analyst at Lazard Real Estate Partners where he concentrated on platform investments in senior housing, industrial and other asset classes. Before focusing on real estate, Nihalani began his career working in M&A and private equity. Nihalani holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.
