Steven G. Osgood, has served, since 2008, as the Chief Executive Officer of Square Foot Companies, LLC a Cleveland, OH based private real estate company focused on self storage and single tenant properties. Mr. Osgood is primarily responsible for the acquisition and financing of properties, as well as overall responsibility for the organization. Mr. Osgood currently serves on the Board of Directors of both National Storage Affiliates Trust (NYSE:NSA) and Hannon Armstrong Sustainable Infrastructure Capital Inc. (NYSE:HASI) as an independent director. He is Chair of HASI’s audit committee and serves on the company’s compensation committee. Mr. Osgood is Chair of NSA’s finance committee and serves on the company’s audit committee.
Mr. Osgood served as Chief Financial Officer of DuPont Fabros Technology, Inc. (NYSE: DFT) a Washington, DC based REIT that owned, operated and developed data center properties from July 2007 thru July 2008.. Mr. Osgood helped take the company through its October 2007 initial public offering including its transition from a private to public company. From April 2006 to January 2007 served as Chief Financial Officer of Global Signal, Inc. (NYSE: GSL) a Sarasota, Florida based REIT that owned, leased, or managed approximately 11,000 towers and other wireless sites. Global Signal was acquired by Crown Castle International Corp (NYSE: CCI) in January 2007. Prior to Global Signal, Mr. Osgood served as President and Chief Financial Officer of Cubesmart (NYSE: CUBE) a Cleveland based self storage REIT, from the company’s initial public offering in October 2004 through April 2006. Mr. Osgood served as Chief Financial Officer of the Amsdell Companies, the predecessor of Cubesmart, from 1993 until 2004. He earned a B.S in Business from Miami University and an M.B.A. from the University of San Diego. Mr. Osgood is an Audit Committee Financial Expert as defined by the SEC.
Mr. Osgood served from 2016 to 2020, as a member of the National Board of Directors of the Alzheimer’s Association including serving as its Treasurer 2018 thru 2019. He also served on the Cleveland Area Chapter’s Board of the Alzheimer’s Association having been elected in 2010 thru 2015 and also served from 1992 thru 1996. He completed a term as Board Chairman from July 2013 thru June 2015.
