Rich Hill is senior managing director, global head of research and strategy at Principal Real Estate, the dedicated real estate unit of Principal Asset Management. In his role, he works across real estate quadrants on capital allocation strategies. He also leads the real estate global research team and has responsibility for delivering the house economic and real estate views to external clients. Prior to his current role, he served as Head of Real Estate Strategy and Research at Cohen & Steers where he was responsible for identifying allocation opportunities in both listed and private real estate and related thematic and strategic research. Previously, he was a managing director and Head of Commercial Real Estate Research at Morgan Stanley, where he was responsible for public REIT equity research, CRE debt strategy and macro property research. Hill earned his bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and is based in New York.
