Matthew Petrillo is a Managing Director of Investments at Blackfin Real Estate Investors, LLC where he is responsible for acquisitions and investor relations.
Prior to Blackfin, Petrillo was an acquisitions officer at Madison Capital where he was responsible for both sourcing and executing transactions nationally and across property types as well as capital raising. Prior to joining Madison Capital, he spent more than six years in Acquisitions at Clarion Partners, where he was responsible for sourcing and executing multifamily, industrial, office and retail transactions across the Midwest and East Coast. During his time at Clarion, he acquired approximately $1.5 billion of investments. Petrillo previously worked in the Global Industrials Investment Banking Group at Deutsche Bank where he executed on debt, equity and M&A transactions closing more than $2.4 billion in total deal volume over two years.
Petrillo received his Bachelor of Arts (2009) as well as his MBA (2013) from Georgetown University where he competed on the school’s Men’s Football Team and founded its first Boxing Club. Petrillo serves on the Steers Global Real Estate Associate Board, Georgetown’s Wall Street Advisory Board and the Allen-Stevenson Alumni Council. Additionally, he sits on the board of the New York Private Equity Network and is a long-standing NAIOP forum member. Petrillo is actively involved in numerous philanthropic efforts including Haymakers for Hope, American Cancer Society and Yonkers Partners in Education.
