Amelia Tanner
Associate Director of Student Experience
Prior to Amelia Tanner’s role at Georgetown, she worked in operations and executive management for a professional cycling team. She also held the role as coach and recruiting coordinator for women’s rowing at George Washington University. Amelia earned an M.A. in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver, focusing her thesis on holistic and whole-person development, and a B.S. in Multidisciplinary Studies from the University of Oklahoma, concentrating on coaching and performance development. A former professional cyclist, Tanner competed internationally and represented Team USA. Additionally, she was an NCAA Division I collegiate rower and coxswain, earning recognition as an All-American and an Academic All-Big 12 Athlete. Tanner also has delivered a TEDx talk on “Women in Sports” and the financial gap in the industry.
