Steers Center Names Undergraduate Awardees, Celebrates Graduates

At a celebration on Thursday, May 21, 2025, the Steers Center for Global Real Assets hosted its annual graduation celebration with graduating students from the Global Real Assets (GRA), MBA, and undergraduate programs, as well as their families.

Each year at this event, the Steers Center celebrates three undergraduate awards – James Solomon (F’80) Undergraduate Leadership Award, Thomas B. Cooke (L’74, ’76, ’84) Spirit of Georgetown Award, and Michelle Xue (B’19) Outstanding Senior Award. Each of these awards memorialize a member of the Steers community that had an outstanding impact on the direction of our center over time.

This year we recognized three graduating seniors for these prestigious awards:

Thomas Henry (B’25) – James Solomon (F’80) Undergraduate Leadership Awardee

Jack Chitkara (B’25) – Thomas B. Cooke (L’74, ’76, ’84) Spirit of Georgetown Awardee

Brigitte Webb (B’25) – Michelle Xue (B’19) Outstanding Senior Awardee

These students will work with the following firms respectively, Ares Management Corporation, Wells Fargo, and Blackstone Real Estate.

Congratulations to our awardees, and to all of our graduating students, for this magnificent accomplishment earned through hard work and dedication. We are excited to see how our students make a meaningful difference in the world of real estate and real assets as they begin their careers.
