Our Board

The Steers Center Advisory Board exists to shape, promote, and execute the strategic mission and vision of the Steers Center and its academic programming for the betterment of current students and alumni. The board is comprised of a highly successful and leading group of industry professionals with a vested interest in assisting Georgetown McDonough in the development of a first-class academic offering in real estate. This engaged group of alumni, parents, and friends of the Steers Center is a critical ingredient to long-term success as they assist with industry-facing tasks of job placement, mentorship, on-campus events, and fundraising.

Our Alumni Network

Separate from the Steers Center Advisory Board, the Georgetown University Real Estate Alliance (GUREA) exists to welcome and encourage Georgetown real estate students into the industry and to offer a best-in-class alumni organization for its membership that promotes networking opportunities and relationship building.

GUREA has been established by a dedicated group of alumni, currently led by Faizan Qureshi (MBA’20), Aaron Bothner (MBA’16), Zachary Albert (MBA‘20), and Lena Duffield (B’17). The alliance seeks to support the Steers Center for Global Real Estate in three primary ways:

  • Foster continued growth of the Steers Center for Global Real Estate through the establishment of a first-rate academic program;
  • Support Georgetown students who wish to pursue a career in real estate through the GUREA mentorship program, the hosting of undergraduate and graduate career treks and by providing job placement opportunities; and
  • Organize a strong network of Georgetown alumni, parents, and friends who are active in the real estate industry.

With over 450 members, GUREA serves as an important resource for current students and alumni at every stage of their careers and fosters connections with like-minded professionals.

Attracting a committed group of alumni, parents, and friends to join the real estate alliance or the advisory board is our top priority. If you would like to get involved or just simply be added to our email distribution list, fill out the form.
