Larry Botel (B ’88)

Founding Partner, JOSS Realty Partners

Larry Botel founded JOSS Realty Partners in 2005. Since inception JOSS has acquired 22 office assets totaling over 3 million square feet with a value in excess of $1 Billion. Prior to JOSS, he spent three years as the Chief Operating Officer at Broadway Partners, where he brought Broadway from a sole proprietorship with limited operating capability to a full-service real estate investment company owning 3.6 million square feet of commercial office space valued at over $850 million. From 1997 to 1999 he was a Vice President and Head of Real Estate at Fortress Investment Group / UBS Global Principal Group / BlackRock Capital Finance. He is also a member of the Board of Advisors at McDonough School of Business. Botel received his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 1993 and a B.S. in Business Administration from Georgetown University in 1988.

William C. Grubbs Jr.

Managing Director – Head of U.S. Funds Management, Invesco

Bill Grubbs joined Invesco in 2005 and has 27 years of real estate experience. He is the lead portfolio manager for Invesco Core Real Estate, IRE’s U.S. Open-End U.S. Core commingled fund. In addition, Grubbs oversees Funds Management for the U.S. direct real estate group. Prior to joining Invesco, Grubbs was with the investment firm of Bailard, Biehl & Kaiser (BB&K), (San Francisco Bay Area), where he directed BB&K’s real estate investment program for six years including serving as the President and Chief Operating Officer of the BB&K Real Estate Investment Trust (BB&K REIT). Grubbs received an MBA, with distinction, from the University of Michigan and a B.S. degree from Colorado State University.

Jim Reid

Jim Reid

Senior Advisor, CBRE

Jim Reid is a senior advisor at CBRE currently focused on enhancing the company’s business operations in Virginia. He formerly was President, Americas Strategic Initiatives. In that role he worked closely with CBRE’s Corporate Development team and geographical and business line leaders to identify, acquire and integrate firms that complemented the company’s existing service offering and culture. Previously Mr. Reid was Chief Operating Officer for the Americas, overseeing the financial and operational management of CBRE’s Americas business. In addition, Mr. Reid had executive oversight of CBRE’s Asset Services, Local Project Management, Valuation and Advisory, and Canadian businesses. Reid received an MBA from Harvard University and a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia.

Manoj Vasudevan

Associate Director, KAUST Investment Management Company

Manoj Vasudevan is an associate director at KAUST Investment Management Company, one of the world’s largest endowment funds. He is a member of the investment team and manages a global multi-billion dollar real estate private equity portfolio. His responsibilities include overall portfolio monitoring, risk management and underwriting new fund investments and joint ventures in the real estate space. Prior to KAUST, Vasudevan worked at Acer Infrastructure, a real estate property developer in India. At Acer, he was responsible for sourcing residential development opportunities and structuring JVs with land owners. He has a Bachelors in Electronics from BITS Pilani (India) and an MBA from the Wharton School.

John Wilkinson

Founder & President, Boundary Companies

John Wilkinson oversees Boundary’s investment, development, asset management, and organizational activities. Over the past three years, Wilkinson has grown the firm’s portfolio by investing in entitlement, vertical development, and existing projects across a range of product types including office, retail, self-storage, charter schools and industrial assets as well as market rate and affordable housing, with an expertise in value-add and opportunistic investments.  Prior to forming Boundary, Wilkinson served as Senior Vice President in the Investments Group for The JBG Companies.  His previous work experience includes roles at The Meridian Group in Washington, D.C. and  CB Richard Ellis’ in the Mid-Atlantic office. He was recognized by Forums’ 50 Under 40 honorees (2015) and by DCA Live as one of Washington D.C.’s 40 under 40 rising stars in real estate (2017). Wilkinson received his B.A. from Cornell University.
