The Steers Center is excited to welcome Jonathan Cummings (B’05), founder and president at Hillridge Capital, and David Crowley (MBA’16), associate vice president at FD Stonewater, for the Spring 2025 McBride Lecture Series. Cummings and Crowley will sit down with student moderators Jonah Hill (B’26) and Suzanne Pearl (B’26) to discuss their career journeys, entrepreneurship in real estate, what life is like as a start-up CRE firm, and how their Georgetown Real Estate education has served them in the long run.

Jonathan Cummings (B’05)

Founder and President, Hillridge Capital

Jonathan Cummings is the founder and president of Hillridge Capital. Cummings formerly served as the Managing Principal of Westbrook Partners and was a member of the Investment Committee and Management Committee. Cummings also participated in acquisition, value enhancement and realization activities within the United States.  Prior to joining Westbrook in 2012, Cummings worked at JBG Companies in Washington, DC where he was a project manager for office, residential and hotel developments. Prior to JBG, he spent a year as a portfolio analyst with CapitalSource Finance in Washington, DC in the structured finance group. Cummings received a B.A. from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

David Crowley (MBA'16)

Associate Vice President, FD Stonewater

David Crowley is an Associate Vice President at FD Stonewater in Arlington, VA. Prior to his role at FD Stonewater, he was an Associate in the Real Estate Investment Banking group at Baird. Crowley earned his MBA from Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business, where he was named the Class of 2016 McGowan Fellow. Crowley earned his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame with a major in Finance and is a CFA charterholder.
